ABOUT US

My special connection to Taiwan

Hi! I’m Agota Bučaitė from Lithuania. My journey with Taiwan began not that long ago, but I’m sure Taiwan will have a special place in my heart forever.

When I was choosing a destination for my exchange year, I came across Taiwan - and immediately fell in love with its culture, nature, and spirit.

During my year living there, I not only learned Mandarin Chinese but also formed deep connections with Taiwanese people, many of whom I still keep in touch with today. After just a year Taiwan became my second home.

I had the chance to travel a lot around Taiwan, and one place especially stood out to me: Taitung. Its landscapes, warm - hearted indigenous communities, and deep culture made a lasting impression. Despite its beauty, life in Taitung isn’t always easy. It’s often affected by earthquakes, typhoons, and a lack of resources - especially for children in tribal areas.

That’s why I created this project. After returning home, I felt the that i needed to give something back. Through this website, I hope to support indigenous children in Taitung - especially those from the Bunun tribe - by connecting people from around the world who want to make a difference.

Every donation, every care kit, and every kind message matters. Together, we can bring hope and smiles to places that are often forgotten.

OUR MISSION

What we want to achieve?

I believe every child deserves access to education and the chance to build a better life. I created this website with the hope that together we can make a real difference in the lives of Indigenous children.

The Bunun children living in the mountains of Taitung face many challenges, from limited access to education to frequent earthquakes and typhoons. But they are just like us - full of dreams and potential.

My mission is to connect kind people around the world with these children, so we can give them the opportunities they deserve.I also want to raise awareness about the children and their culture in Taiwan, so more people can understand their lives and challenges they face.
